The Ruta 18 is a road to the east of Uruguay .
The about 140 km long road runs southwest-northeast direction largely by the Department of Treinta y Tres and carries on its last leg and through the territory of Cerro Largo . The road beginning in the town of Treinta y Tres leads through a landscape characterized by rice cultivation. It passes Vergara , Estación Rincón and Plácido Rosas . It finally ends just before Río Branco at the Brazilian border, where it merges into Ruta 26 .
