The Chandra Parbat is a 6728 m high peak in the Himalayas in Uttarakhand ( India ).
The Chandra Parbat is located in the northeast of the Gangotri Group in the western Garhwal Himalayas . The Chandra Parbat is due to a low notch height of about 400 m as a secondary peak of the 2.47 km southeast of Indradhanush Parbat (6739 m). To the north of the Chandra Parbat, the Chaturangi glacier flows in a westerly direction to the Gangotri glacier .
The Chandra Parbat was first climbed in 1938 by a German-Austrian expedition led by Rudolf Schwarzgruber . She reached the summit via the west ridge.
In the past, until the first ascent of today's Indradhanush Parbat , it was also known as Chandra Parbat .
