Augustine Kaiser, Chanteuse

A chanteuse is a singer who mainly performs chansons in a cabaret environment.

Well-known chants from the 20th century were or are Yvette Guilbert , Claire Waldoff , Blandine Ebinger , Maegie Koreen , Luise Wunderlich , but also Juliette Gréco . As a rule, they present themselves on the “ small stage ” without much staging effort . Their work often not only includes the interpretation of works by third parties, but also actively contributes to the further development of chanson art.
