Charillos
Charillos ( Greek Χάριλλος ) or Charilaos ( Greek Χαρίλαος ) was a king of ancient Sparta from the house of the Eurypontids , around the first half of the 8th century BC. Chr.
Charillos is the son of the polydect . According to one version of the Lycian legend , he is said to be the son of the inserted king Eunomus . Charillos, together with his fellow king Archelaos, destroyed the city of Aigys on the Arcadian border and invaded the territory of the Argeier . He was taken prisoner with his army during a campaign against the Tegeates and only released against the promise not to wage war against the Tegeates any more.
