Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken (born June 30, 1954 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch entrepreneur .

Life

Carvalho-Heineken is the daughter of Alfred Heineken and Lucille Cummins. After the death of her father, she was the only child to inherit his father's fortune. According to Forbes Magazine , she is the richest woman in the Netherlands , ahead of former Dutch Queen Beatrix . Carvalho-Heineken is married to Michel de Carvalho and has five children. In addition to her Dutch citizenship , she has British and Swiss citizenship . Among the 300 richest in Switzerland, she came 8th in 2018 with an estimated fortune of 13 to 14 billion Swiss francs .

The CL de Carvalho-Heineken Prize for Cognitive Science is named after her.
