Charles Chadwick (writer)

Charles Chadwick CBE (born July 31, 1932 ) is a British writer living in London who published his first novel in 2005 at the age of 72. Until 1992 he worked for the British Council in Brazil , Canada , Poland , Kenya , Zambia and Nigeria .

He had written an inconspicuous man for 30 years on his 930-page first work before it was published in 2005 under the original title It's All Right Now and caused a sensation in both the USA and Great Britain. The book tells the story of the "meaningless" former accountant Tom Ripple and his family from the early 1970s to 2001.
