Charles Dorian
Charles Dorian (born June 27, 1891 in Santa Monica , California , † October 21, 1942 in Albuquerque , New Mexico ) was an American film actor and assistant director , who received the Oscar for best assistant director at the 1934 Academy Awards .
biography
Dorian began his career as an actor in vaudeville entertainment theater, before he appeared in 1915 as a film actor for the first time in silent films and by 1920 in more than 20 films such as The Red-Haired Cupid (1918), Mr. Miller's Economies (1918) and All Night ( 1918) occurred.
He then worked as an assistant director on films such as It Was (1927) by Clarence Brown until the late 1930s . In 1934 he was one of the seven winners of the Oscars in the category of best assistant director.
