Charles Harold St. John Hamilton (born August 8, 1876 in Ealing near London , † December 24, 1961 ) was an English children's author.

Life

Hamilton is in the Guinness Book of Records as the most prolific writer with an estimated 72 to 75 million words. He used over 20 pseudonyms . One of his most famous characters is Billy Bunter , whom he published under the name Frank Richards .
