Chevalier Charles Henri Joseph de Rasse (born December 3, 1774 in Tournai , † January 31, 1818 ibid) was mayor of Tournai.

Live and act

Charles Henri Joseph de Rasse studied at the College of Saint-Paul in his hometown and at the College of the Oratorians in Juilly . He began a career as a civil servant and at the age of 26 became a member of the commission for non-church hospices. Four years later (1804) Rasse became mayor of Tournai. He earned special services in February 1814 when the city was occupied by the troops of the anti-Napoleonic coalition. In 1817 Breed received the Order of the Dutch Lion .

Rasse had two sons, the diplomats Jules (1808–1883) and Alphonse , (Tournai, June 18, 1813 - May 2, 1892), Belgian senator and mayor of Tournai.
