Charles Lacy Sweet
Charles Lacy Sweet (born January 24, 1861 in Clifton , Bristol , † November 2, 1892 ) was an English tennis player .
Sweet took part in tennis tournaments from 1882. From 1887 to 1890 he entered the Wimbledon Championships , where he reached the semifinals in 1887. He was a good friend of the brothers Ernest and William Renshaw . In 1890 he played with his partner Henry Grove in Southern India Championships in Indian Kolkata .
After Sweet had participated in a tournament in Exmouth in August 1892 , he died unexpectedly three months later at the age of only 31.
