Charles Meryon
Charles Meryon (also Charles Méryon ; born November 23, 1821 in Paris , † February 17, 1868 in Charenton-le-Pont , Département Val-de-Marne ) was a French painter and engraver .
Life
Meryon was the illegitimate son of a relationship between British doctor Charles Lewis Meryon and French ballet dancer Narcisse Chaspoux. He was one of the most important etchers in the 19th century.
