Charles Edmund Newton Robinson (born October 14, 1853 in London as Charles Edmund Robinson , † April 21, 1913 in Swanage ) was a British fencer and barrister .
Life
Charles Robinson studied at Trinity College of the University of Cambridge and was to the bar in 1879 Inner Temple added. From June 6, 1889, he had his mother's maiden name, Newton , also in his name.
He took part in the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris and the 1906 Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens . In 1900 he was eliminated from the individual competition in the first round, while in 1906 he took second place with the team. Together with Cosmo Duff Gordon , William Grenfell and Edgar Seligman , he won the silver medal. He was also a passionate sailor.
Newton Robinson wrote and published several volumes of poetry.
