The Gjárfoss is one of the waterfalls in the Gjáin area with other waterfalls and is located in the south of Iceland .

Coming from the northeast, the Rauða plunges 16 m into the depth at a width of 3 m.

The Gjáin area is located northwest of the Þjórsá and can be reached via the Þjórsárdalsvegur S32 and the Stangarvegur T327. Other waterfalls nearby are the Háifoss with the Granni and the Hjálparfoss .
