Charles Peak is a bare peak to the southeast of the Collier Hills in the West Antarctic Heritage Range . With a height of 990 m, the mountain dominates this part of the Collier Hills.
Charles Peak was mapped by the United States Geological Survey as part of the survey of the Ellsworth Mountains in 1961-66 through field surveys and aerial photographs by the United States Navy . The summit was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after Charles E. Williams, who worked as a meteorologist at the Little America V research station in 1958 .
