Charles Richard Anders
Charles Richard Anders (born July 29, 1929 in Frederick , Maryland ) is an American composer and pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America .
He has worked in various places, most recently in Tamarac ( Florida ) and Minneapolis . In 1978 he was a contributor to the Lutheran Book of Worship . In the Evangelical Hymn book his setting of the song "Christ is the king, o friends rejoice" ("Christ is king, cheers loudly!") Is printed under number 269.
