Charles Robert Connell (born September 22, 1864 in Scranton , Pennsylvania , †  September 26, 1922 there ) was an American politician . In 1921 and 1922 he represented the state of Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Charles Connell was the son of Congressman William Connell (1827-1909). He visited his home public schools and then to 1884 the Williston Academy in Easthampton ( Massachusetts ). After that he worked in trade with his father for some time. He was also involved in the banking industry and in various handicraft industries. From 1888 until his death, he headed the company Scranton Button Co . Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party .

In the 1920 congressional election , Connell was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , in the tenth constituency of Pennsylvania , where he succeeded John R. Farr on March 4, 1921 . He was able to exercise this mandate in Congress until his death on September 26, 1922.
