Charles Toth

Charles Toth is a retired American basketball coach .

Life

Born in Morgantown , West Virginia , Toth studied sports at West Virginia University and graduated in 1966. He taught at Chesterville Junior High School in Sparta, Ohio, and Valley High School and Magnolia High School in West Virginia. On behalf of the US armed forces he went to Europe and from 1980 taught for several years at American schools in Germany ( Würzburg , Frankfurt am Main , Giessen , Bitburg , Osterholz-Scharmbeck ) and England . In addition to his teaching activity, Toth trained the basketball team of OSC Bremerhaven in Germany , then from 1988 the Bundesliga team MTV Gießen , which he was in charge of in the 1988/89 season. From then on he worked on his master’s degree, which he obtained in 1991 at National Louis University in curriculum design. From 2000 he was responsible for the curricula of the American schools in Bavaria . From 2004 Toth ran schools for the children of US military personnel in Korea, and in 2008 he returned to the United States, relocated to the state of Virginia, and assumed overall direction of curricula for 192 US schools worldwide.
