Charles "Charlie" Allinson (born November 24, 1901 in Accrington , † 4th quarter 1975 in Cuckfield , Sussex ) was an English football player .

Career

Allinson joined Accrington Stanley as an amateur in 1922 from a church club in Oswaldtwistle . There he played mainly for the reserve team in the Lancashire Combination , in November 1922 he scored five goals in a home game against Chorley Motors in a 10-0 win, in January 1924 he replaced his injured goalkeeper during a game. On the last day of the game day of the 1922/23 season Allinson came in the first team instead of Tom Smelt in the center forward position in the 1-0 home win against Lincoln City for his only use in the Third Division North .

For the 1924/25 season Allinson joined the FC Darwen , also playing in the Lancashire Combination , in the 1928/29 season he was one of the newcomers to the Mental Hospital Club , Haywards Heath in the Mid-Sussex League .
