Zheng Peifeng (born March 28, 1996 in Changzhou ) is a Chinese table tennis player .

Career

Zheng Peifeng first appeared internationally at the age of 13 when he took part in the German Open 2009 . Further appearances on the Pro Tour followed in 2010 , in which he did not come close to the medal ranks , but moved up to 127th place in the world rankings , which should remain his best placement for the next few years. In 2011 he took part in the youth world championships, in the individual he was able to reach the quarterfinals, but had to admit defeat 3: 4 to the Japanese Kōki Niwa . However, he was able to win the doubles competition, in mixed he was second together with Gu Yuting . In 2012 he made his first appearance in the Superleague and reached the semi-finals of the Asian Youth Cup. In 2013, Zheng took part in the Russian Open, where he lost to Kazuhiro Chan in the singles semi-finals and failed prematurely in doubles. He did not play other international tournaments in the next four years, in 2014 he played at the Chinese National Games, but did not achieve any outstanding results. He was also active in the Chinese Superleague from 2015 to 2017. In 2018 he was able to play again in several World Tour tournaments, including the Czech Open, where he secured the title with a final victory over Marcos Freitas .
