Gu Yuting ( Chinese故 祖庭 / 故 族 挺; Pinyin : Gù Yùtíng ; born January 14, 1995 in Chengdu ) is a Chinese table tennis player .

Career

Gu Yuting was used internationally from 2009 when she took part in the World Youth Championship and won silver in singles and gold in doubles, mixed and with the team. In the years that followed, she mainly played in the youth field, was among other things five-time youth world champion in doubles and won the gold medal in singles at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games and at the 2013 Youth World Cup. From July 2010 she was among the world rankings best 100 run.

In the adult category, she won her first medal in doubles with Chen Meng at the Qatar Open 2012 by reaching the semi-finals, the first single medal followed at the Japan Open 2013, which she was also able to win doubles with Zhou Xintong . From 2014 she hardly played any international tournaments, so that she fell out of the world rankings several times due to inactivity. In 2017 her activity increased again, after several good placements on the World Tour , she qualified for the Grand Finals , where she reached the semi-finals. In July 2018 she reached a personal best with number 11 in the world rankings, but in 2018 and 2019 she only achieved medal placements in a total of 14 World Tour tournaments, in the singles she did not get past the first round.

She currently plays in the B-squad of the Chinese national team.
