Charlie Mensuel

Charlie Mensuel was a French comic magazine that appeared monthly from 1969 to 1986.

The magazine was founded in 1969 by Hara Kiri editor Delfeil de Ton based on the model of the Italian magazine Linus , thematically American / British newspaper trips and Franco-Belgian comics collided, initially mostly in a humorous style. The Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz , Krazy Kat by George Herriman , Andy Capp by Reg Smythe and BC by Johnny Hart have been published on a permanent basis . On the French side, for example, Georges Pichard , Jean-Marc Reiser , Georges Wolinski and many more have been published.

From 1982 the issue, which was ailing at the time, was distributed by the Dargaud publishing house . The topics grew up now. There were more serious stories from Régis Loisel , Franz and Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri in the magazine . In 1986 the publisher merged the Charlie Mensuel booklet with Pilote and launched the “Pilote & Charlie” booklet. From 1988 the Pilote booklet was continued without a name extension.
