Charlie Storwick

Melissa "Charlie" Storwick (born November 13, 1998 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and actress . She gained fame as the fourth season winner of the talent show The Next Star as well as her role as Piper Gray in the television series The Toy Factory . She is also active under the pseudonym Faangs .

biography

In 2011, at the age of 12, she took part in the talent show The Next Star as a singer. There she was also nicknamed Charlie, which she has been using as her first name ever since. She eventually won the show and then released her single Good As Gone . She describes her music as alternative, comparable to Florence + the Machine .

From 2014 to 2016 she played the role of Piper Gray, a hacker, in the youth series The Toy Factory , which is originally called Some Assembly Required . For this she received a Joey Award together with the other actors as the best series ensemble. She was also nominated for a Canadian Screen Award in 2015 .
