Charlotte Francke-Roesing

Charlotte Francke-Roesing (also: Charlotte Elisabeth Francke-Roesing ; * May 19, 1863 in Mülheim an der Ruhr as Charlotte Roesing ; † July 7, 1942 in Schöneiche near Berlin ) was a German writer .

Life

Charlotte Francke-Roesing grew up in Cologne , where she attended elementary school and a secondary school for girls. She then worked for ten years as an office worker in Mülheim near Cologne. From 1907 to 1916 she lived in Cologne again. Together with her husband she then moved to Merseburg / Saxony , from 1923 she lived in Potsdam and most recently in Schöneiche near Berlin .

Charlotte Francke-Roesing was the author of short stories , children's books , poems and plays . She won several prizes at the "Kölner Blumenspiele ", a poetry competition organized by the Cologne Literary Society until 1914 .
