Charon was a hard rock band from Germany . It was founded in Hamburg in 1983 . The band is named after the ferryman Charon from Greek mythology. Originally a project by the brothers Eberhard and Andreas Feldhahn, the band released the first album on the Polydor ( Deutsche Grammophon ) label and the second commercially quite successful album on Steamhammer in completely different line-ups. After the dissolution in 1988, the ex-Charon members Andreas Feldhahn, Andre Martelli and Jan-Sören Eckert founded the hard rock band Mydra in 1988 .
