Chas Jarrett
Chas Jarrett is a VFX Supervisor who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Visual Effects in 2007 for Poseidon .
Life
He began his career as a cameraman for music videos and documentaries in London and San Francisco . In 1988 he was employed by the English company Moving Picture Company . In the following years he worked as a VFX supervisor for films such as James Bond 007 - The world is not enough , Troy and Poseidon .
In 2007, Poseidon was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects along with Boyd Shermis , Kim Libreri and John Frazier . In 2007 he left the Moving Picture Company to work as an independent VSX supervisor. In 2009 he founded the visual effects company Blue Bolt with two former colleagues, Angela Barson and Lucy Ainsworth-Talyor , which is based in Soho , London.
