The Chasia Mountains ( Greek Χάσια Όρη ( n. Pl. )) Are a mountain range in northern Greece that rise up to 1564 m above sea level. The mountain range lies on the border between the Trikala and Grevena regional districts , northwest of Kalambaka . It forms a branch of the Pindus . In the north and west the actual, northern Pindos joins and in the south and east the mountain massifs of Antichasia and Kamvounia (mountain) extend .
geography
The mountains are very rugged and there are many small ravines and river valleys running through them. The slopes are mainly composed of pine forests. The area is a popular hiking destination and there are a large number of trails. A recommended route leads from Kakoplevri (Κακοπλεύρι) through the entire Mesovouni (Μεσοβούνι, German Mittelberg) and ends in Xirokampo (Ξηρόκαμπο)

- Rivers
Many rivers spring from the slopes of Chasia. The most important of these is the Kakoplevritis (Κακοπλευρίτης), which is a tributary of the Mourgani (Μουργκάνη), and thus belongs to the catchment area of the Pinios .
