The Chavei Cove (English; Bulgarian залив Чавеи saliw Tschawei ) is a 2.2 km wide and 900 m long bay on the southeast coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located east of Gela Point . The Prespa Glacier , which has been in retreat since the beginning of the 21st century, flows into it .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2009 after the town of Tschawei in northern Bulgaria .
