The Gela Point (English; Bulgarian нос Гела nos Gela ) is a headland on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the Roschen Peninsula , it is located as an extension of Yambol Peak 5.1 km east-northeast of Botev Point , 0.7 km east-southeast of Yambol Peak and 4.1 km west-southwest of Samuel Point on the west side of the entrance to Chavei Cove .
Bulgarian scientists mapped them in the course of surveying the Tangra Mountains between 2004 and 2005. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them in 2006 after the village of Gela in the central Rhodope Mountains in southern Bulgaria .
