The Yambol Peak ( Bulgarian връх Ямбол wrach Jambol ) is a 300 m high mountain on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In the Friesland Ridge of the Tangra Mountains, it rises 1.4 km southeast of Shumen Peak , 4.75 km northeast of Botev Point and 4.6 km west-southwest of Samuel Point . The Tarnowo Piedmont Glacier is to the west of it, the Prespa Glacier to the northeast.
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named the mountain in 2002 after the city of Yambol in southeastern Bulgaria .
