Chayut Khongprasit (born January 31, 1999 ) is a Thai athlete who specializes in sprinting .

Athletic career

Chayut Khongprasit gained his first international experience at the Junior Asian Championships 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City , where he won the bronze medal behind the teams from Taiwan and Malaysia in 40.36 seconds with the Thai 4 x 100 meter relay . Two years later he finished seventh in the 100-meter run at the Junior Asian Championships in Gifu in 10.59 s . At the end of August he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and made it to the semifinals, in which he was eliminated with 10.63 s. He was also sixth with the Thai relay in 39.29 s. In 2019 he took part in the 200-meter run at the Summer Universiade in Naples , but retired there with 21.54 s in the first round and was disqualified with the relay in the preliminary run. At the beginning of December he won the Southeast Asian Games in Capas in 20.71 s over 200 meters and won the silver medal behind the Philippines in 41.99 s with the mixed 4 x 100 meter relay.
