Chemistry Pavilion
The chemistry pavilion is a listed pavilion in Lutherstadt Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The pavilion is located at Schlossplatz 15 at the western end of Wittenberg's old town. Coswiger Strasse runs north and Schlossstrasse to the south, which meet immediately to the west of the pavilion. A little further west is the famous castle church .
Architecture and history
The pavilion was built in 1959/60 according to plans by the architect Erwin Zink on the site of the official mill that was demolished in 1958 (button mill). The design was in the style of the Second Modernism . It is one of the few buildings of this style, which is more common in Western Europe , in Saxony-Anhalt. The curved grid structure served as an advertising and exhibition pavilion for the products of the Piesteritz nitrogen works .
At times the address was Schlossplatz 6. Currently (as of 2018) the pavilion is used as an ice cream parlor .
The building is listed as a pavilion under registration number 094 35862 in the local monument register.
