Chen Lijun

Chen Lijun ( Chinese  谌 利 军 , Pinyin Chén Lìjūn ; born February 8, 1993 ) is a Chinese weightlifter . In 2013 he became world champion in the duel in the weight class up to 62 kg body weight.

Career

Chen Lijun started lifting weights as a teenager. When, where and by whom it was discovered is not yet known. He belongs to the army and can concentrate fully on his sport there. He first took part in an international championship in June 2010. He was that year in Sofia Junior World Champion in the weight class up to 62 kg, the weight class in which he was previously only at the start, with a duel of 291 kg (126-165).

In 2011 and 2012 he did not appear. In 2013 he was the first Chinese champion with a duel of 321 kg (145-176). He referred the 2011 world champion and Olympic champion Zhang Jie , who reached 319 kg (143-176), to 2nd place. Chen Lijun was then used in October 2013 at the World Cup in Wrocław. There he again reached 321 kg (146-175) in a duel and referred to the Olympic champion of 2012 in London Kim Un-guk from North Korea, who came to 320 kg (150-170), to 2nd place.

2014 Chen Lijun was again Chinese champion, where he again achieved 321 kg (145-176) in a duel. In September 2014 he was also at the Asian Games in Incheon / South Korea at the start and there again reached 321 kg (143-178). With this performance he finished second behind the outstanding Olympic champion Kim Un-guk, who achieved 332 kg (154-178) in this competition.
