Cheng Yu-tung

Cheng Yu-tung ( Chinese  鄭裕彤  /  郑裕彤 , Pinyin Zhèng Yùtóng , Jyutping Cheng ⁶ Yu ⁶ Tung ⁴ ; born August 26, 1925 in Shunde , Guangdong ; † September 29, 2016 ) was a Chinese entrepreneur and investor .

Life

Yu-tung owned the Chinese company Chow Tai Fook Enterprises , which controls , among other things, the Chinese company New World Development . According to US Forbes Magazine , Yu-tung was one of the richest Chinese in 2012. He was married to Tsui-ying Chow and had two children.

Cheng Yu-tung was a multi-billionaire. According to the Forbes 2015 list , his net worth was approximately $ 14.4 billion. This made Cheng Yu-tung 71st on Forbes' list of the richest people in the world.
