Chick Bill is a Franco-Belgian comic created by Tibet .

The hero of the western series is Chick Bill, who is accompanied by a little Indian boy called the Little Poodle. The adventures are both with the choleric sheriff Dog Bull and his assistant Kid Ordinn.

Raymond Leblanc, the publisher of Tintin , commissioned Tibet in 1952 for this humorous western series, which appeared for the first time in 1953 in Junior , the children's supplement to the magazine Chez Nous and in the Flemish Ons Volkske . In order to also publish in Tintin , Tibet gave up the representation of humanized animal figures in the fourth volume in favor of a semi-realistic representation. Maurice Rosy , René Goscinny , Greg and André-Paul Duchâteau contributed to the texts.

The series appeared in Junior from 1953 to 1973, and in the Belgian edition between 1955 and 1980 and in the French edition of Tintin between 1956 and 1988 . Further episodes were published in Hello Bédé . Some short stories appeared in Super Tintin . In addition to the albums, Le Lombard also published a complete edition. In German-speaking countries, Bastei published twenty issues, Feest three albums and, in the new Zack, a single story.
