Chiddingfold is a civil parish in Weald , Waverley in the borough of Surrey .

The English parish is located between Milford and Petworth and includes the village areas of Ansteadbrook, High Street Green and Combe Common. The village forest belongs to the Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and connects Chiddingfold with the scientific culture. The Ex-Servicemen's Club is the musical mainstay of the community. The Roman Catholic Church of St Teresa of Avila Church has existed in the fellowship since 1959. The artist François Lanzi lived in Chiddingfold from 1971 until his death in 1988. Viva Seton Montgomerie lived in the parish until 1959.

According to the 2011 statistics, the area of ​​the municipality is 28.18 square kilometers . There are 2960 in the entire parish.

Ex-Servicemen's Club

The pub is on Woodside Road in Chiddingfold. The economy has existed since the early 20th century and was particularly notable in the 1960s to 1990s as a stage for later popular musicians. The British world star Eric Clapton appeared regularly in the pub in his youth to make a name for himself. After his performances, he achieved international success with the Yardbirds . On December 23, 1989, Clapton appeared again during his Journeyman World Tour in the club together with international greats such as Andy Fairweather Low , Gary Brooker , Dave Bronze , Henry Spinetti and Frank Mead . The band Genesis also rehearsed in the bar. Today the bar continues to operate under the name “The Villagers” and sticks to its tradition of bar atmosphere and music.
