The Chiesa vetero cattolica italiana dell'Unione di Utrecht ( Italian Old Catholic Church of the Union of Utrecht ), which is to be distinguished from the “Chiesa Vetero-Cattolica Italiana” and the “Chiesa Vetero-Cattolica Indipendente in Europa”, has parishes in Rome , Milan , Sabaudia , Reggio Calabria as well as smaller parishes in some other places in Italy with a total of around 300 believers.
It is under the jurisdiction of a delegate of the International Bishops' Conference (IBK) of the Utrecht Union of Old Catholic Churches . Since January 1st, 2008, Bishop Fritz-René Müller (Christian Catholic Bishop of Switzerland) is the delegate responsible for the Old Catholic parishes in Italy . In 2011 the responsibility was terminated.
