Old Catholic Church in Sweden and Denmark
The Old Catholic Church in Sweden and Denmark ( Gammalkatolska Kyrkan i Sverige or Gammelkatolsk Kirke i Danmark ) was founded on the initiative of Pastor Sven-H. Jakobsson, who left Sweden's Lutheran state church and founded the first Old Catholic congregation in Malmö in 1972 . In 1977, the wish to submit to the jurisdiction of the International Bishops' Conference of the Utrecht Union of Old Catholic Churches (IBK) was granted. The current IBC delegate is the Bishop of Haarlem , Dick Schoon .
In addition to the parishes in Malmö and Copenhagen, there are parishes in Gothenburg , Varberg , Karlstad , Umeå , Helsingborg and Landskrona .
