Ching Li (actress)

Ching Li ( Chinese  井 莉 , Pinyin Jǐng Lì , often Cheng Lee ; born October 29, 1945 in Shandong ; † December 9, 2017 in Hong Kong ) was a Chinese actress . She was considered one of the greatest icons of Asian cinema of the 1960s and 1970s.

life and work

Ching Li, daughter of the renowned actor Ching Miao , came to Taiwan with her parents in 1949 , where she also grew up. According to the Internet Movie Database , she made her film debut at the age of six. In the mid-1960s she got under contract with Shaw Brothers , where she quickly became one of the most popular and best actresses in the studio.

Although Ching Li was mostly used in very combative and bloody films, she rarely fought herself.
