Chiswick Park is an above-ground London Underground station in the London Borough of Ealing . It is located in the Travelcard tariff zone 3 on Acton Lane and is served by District Line trains. In 2014, 2.39 million passengers used the station.

The station was opened on July 1, 1879 by the Metropolitan District Railway (predecessor company of the District Line), on the newly built route from Turnham Green to Ealing Broadway . Initially, the station name was Acton Green , after a park in the vicinity. This was changed to Chiswick Park & Acton Green in March 1887 . The line on which Chiswick Park lies was electrified on July 1, 1905. On March 1, 1910, the station was given its current name.

The station building, which is still preserved today, was built in 1932 based on a design by Charles Holden . The template was the Krumme Lanke underground station in Berlin designed by Alfred Grenander . The most noticeable feature is the semicircular counter hall with large upper aisles . Above it rises a tall, square tower made of red bricks. The reason for the renovation was the extension of the Piccadilly Line from Hammersmith to the west, with the Piccadilly Line passing Chiswick Park without stopping. For this purpose, two more tracks were laid between those of the District Line. The building has been a listed building ( Grade II ) since 1987 .
