Chittleborough Ridge is a 400 m high and rocky ridge on the island of Heard in the southern Indian Ocean . Above Mechanics Bay , it separates the Mary Powell from the Downes glacier .
It is named after the biologist Graham Chittleborough (1927–2012), who was involved in a 1949 campaign by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in the biological exploration of the north coast of Heard.
