Cho Jae-jin (born July 9, 1981 in Paju ) is a former South Korean soccer player .

Cho joined the K-League club Suwon Bluewings in 2000 and was used sporadically for the 2001 Asian Champions Cup winner. During his military service at the military club Gwangju Sangmu Phoenix , the attacker then established himself as a first division player, but in the 2004 season he came back to the Bluewings again only to eight games, so he left the club. He moved to the Japanese J. League to Shimizu S-Pulse , where he played as a dangerous goalscorer until 2007. The 2006 and 2007 seasons were the most successful of his career.

In early 2008, Cho moved back to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in South Korea. After a season in which he was able to score eight goals, he joined Gamba Osaka in early 2009 . In the 2010 season he was hardly ever used and ended his career.

In June 2003, Cho Jae-jin was used for the first time in the South Korean national team . He also offered a convincing tournament in South Korea's selection at the Olympic Games in Athens. So he was then taken into account again in qualifying for the 2006 World Cup in Germany and was included in South Korea's World Cup line-up . He was used in all three World Cup games, even if he did not score a goal.
