Choke Yasuoka

Choke Yasuoka ( Jap. 安岡チョーク , Yasuoka choku * 1973 in Amphoe Pranburi , Thailand as Prasopchoke Klungern ) is a Thai, today in Japan living, disabled athletes .

In 1992 , 1996 and 2000 he competed in the Paralympic Summer Games for his country of birth . In the course of the 2004 Paralympic Summer Games in Athens , he received permission from the Thai Disabled Sports Association to compete for Japan. Four years later in Beijing , he again took to Japan in part . In the course of these participations Yasuoka was able to win medals several times. In 1996 he won bronze in the 10,000 meter competition in Atlanta . In 2004 in Athens he won gold at 800 meters in the T54 rating, silver at 400 meters in the T54 rating and bronze in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the T53-T54 rating.

Yasuoka is a longtime participant in the Oita Marathon , a wheelchair marathon competition in Japan. His first participation took place in 1990. In 2001 he met his Japanese wife, who was present as a translator at the marathon. At the 2007 Oita Marathon he finished fourth and set his personal best with 1:23:23, Yasuoka was just one second behind Ernst Van Dyk . In addition to the Oita Marathon, however, he was also active in other marathon competitions, including in the 2008 wheelchair classification of the Boston Marathon .

Yasuoka now lives in Fukuoka with his wife .
