Christopher David "Chris" Black (born September 7, 1982 in Ashington ) is a former English football player .

Career

Black rose from the offspring of Sunderland AFC to the senior division in 2000 , but for a long time did not get beyond assignments in the reserve team. His first two games for the professional team completed the midfielder in May 2003 on the last two game days of the Premier League season 2002/03 , when the first division relegation Sunderland was already certain. At the side of Kevin Kilbane , Gavin McCann and Sean Thornton , coach Mick McCarthy Black offered in the two games against Aston Villa (0-1) and Arsenal FC(0: 4) each on the starting grid on the right wing. After he came to only one use in the course of the following second division season (0: 3 against Crewe Alexandra ), he moved to fourth division Doncaster Rovers in March 2004 free of charge . There he made his debut on March 27, 2004 against Oxford United (final score 0-0), but did not appear in training the following week without excuse and did not return to Doncaster as a result. He then no longer appeared in higher-class football.
