Chris Commons
Chris Commons (actually Christopher John Commons; born December 9, 1950 ) is a former Australian long jumper .
At the Pacific Conference Games 1973 and the British Commonwealth Games 1974 in Christchurch, he won silver each.
In 1976 he retired from qualifying at the Olympic Games in Montreal .
In 1977 he won the Pacific Conference Games, and in 1978 he won silver again at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton .
From 1973 to 1976 he was Australian champion four times in a row. He set his personal best of 8.08 m on January 14, 1978 in Sydney .
His brother Don Commons was successful as a triple jumper.
