Chris Fydler

Christopher "Chris" John Fydler (born November 8, 1972 in Sydney , New South Wales ) is a former Australian swimmer who celebrated his greatest successes in the freestyle and medley relay .

Chris Fydler won his first international medals at the 1998 World Swimming Championships in Perth . There he won the 4 × 100 m individual relay relay and took silver with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. At the 1999 World Short Course Championships in Hong Kong , he won gold with both the 4 × 100 m freestyle and the 4 × 100 m individual relay relay. Fydler took part in the 1992 , 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics in his native Sydney. When he last participated, he won gold in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay in a new world record time , together with Ian Thorpe , Michael Klim and Ashley Callus .
