Chris H. Greene
Chris H. Greene (born August 1, 1954 in Lincoln (Nebraska) ) is an American physicist .
Greene received a BS from the University of Nebraska in 1976 and an MS in 1977 and a PhD in 1980 from the University of Chicago . He then moved to Stanford University as a research associate from 1980 to 1981 . Until 1988, Greene was an assistant professor and professor of physics at Louisiana State University . From 1989 to 2012 Greene was at the University of Colorado and since 2012 as Distinguished Professor of Physics at Purdue University .
Greene's research areas are theoretical investigations into atomic physics, molecular physics and optical physics in ultra-cold gases.
