Chris Schummert (born May 29, 1993 in Berlin ) is a German pop singer who became known as runner-up in the third season of the talent show The Voice of Germany .
Career
Schummert grew up in the Berlin district of Steglitz . In 2012 he graduated from high school in Steglitz and has been studying communication management at the BSP Business School ever since .
In autumn 2013 he took part in the third season of the talent show The Voice of Germany . Under his mentor Samu Haber he reached the final, in which he came in second on December 20, 2013 behind Andreas Kümmert .
With his song The Singer , which was released after the semi-finals, he rose to number 4 in the German iTunes charts and came to number 12 in the official charts .
