Chris Wright (born January 7, 1971 in Emit , North Carolina ) is a retired American wrestler , better known by his ring name CW Anderson . He was issued as a member of the legendary Anderson clan, his ring outfit, as well as his nickname "The Enforcer" were based on Arn Anderson . He most recently appeared on Extreme Championship Wrestling , a roster for World Wrestling Entertainment as Christopher W. Anderson .

Career

Wright began his wrestling career in 1993. First he was active in small leagues with a mask under the name El Chico . He later worked in the NWA and was named CW Anderson here . In 1996 he won the NWA World Tag Team Championship in a team with Pat Anderson .

In the same year Wright opened a wrestling school in Smithfield , North Carolina , which was called "The Anderson Academy". From 1998 he trained at World Championship Wrestling , but was not considered promising there. In 1999 he therefore left the organization and went to Extreme Championship Wrestling . Here he belonged to the New Dangerous Alliance , which consisted of Wild Bill Whiles , Elektra and Lou E. Dangerously .

After the ECW closed, Wright was employed by various independent organizations such as Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling , Ring of Honor and ZERO1-MAX . In 2004 he was also briefly seen on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and in 2005 he took part in Shane Douglas's hardcore homecoming event . He also made repeated appearances in WWE shows in 2004 and 2005, including ECW One Night Stand .

From August 1, 2006, Wright worked in the WWE's ECW roster , but was fired in January 2007. On November 4, 2007, he announced the end of his career as an active wrestler.
