Christa Kolodej

Christa Kolodej (born March 3, 1965 in Linz ) is an Austrian psychologist and sociologist . Along with Klaus Niedl, she is considered a pioneer in bullying research in Austria.

Life

Christa Kolodej did her doctorate at the University of Vienna in the field of psychology and on the subject of industrial sociology at the Sociological Institute.

Kolodej has been teaching organizational psychology at the Institute for Psychology at the Karl-Franzens University Graz since 2001 . and as a visiting professor.

Works

In 1999 Kolodej published her first book: “Mobbing, psychological terror in the workplace and coping with it. With numerous case studies ". The book deals with the origin, course and consequences of bullying ; Kolodej derives prevention and intervention strategies from this. In 2005 she published the work in a newly revised version. In 2007 the book was published in English in Kharkov , Ukraine . In 2008 Kolodej brought out the book "Mobbingberatung" on the theory and methodology of conflict and bullying counseling. In this book, Kolodej uses case histories to analyze the course, dynamics and coping with bullying.

Kolodej is co-author of two instruments, the inventory for measuring the degree of escalation of conflicts in the world of work (IKEAr) and the test for recording bullying behavior in the workplace (TEMA).
