Christel Hüttemann
Christel Hüttemann (born November 25, 1949 in Reinbek ) is the chairwoman of the Association for the Promotion of Children with Cancer in Münster .
When one of her two children fell ill with cancer in the late 1970s and was treated at the Münster University Clinic , Christel Hüttemann founded a self-help group for parents of children and adolescents with cancer. In 1982 she was a founding member of the Association for the Promotion of Children with Cancer in Münster eV and from 1983 second chairwoman of the board. Since 2002 she has been the first chairwoman of the association.
Awards
In 2010 Christel Hüttemann received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for her long-term commitment to children's cancer aid.
